Megan Fox’s Engagement Ring Design Has a Deeply Personal Meaning

In case you missed it, which you probably haven’t because it’s everywhere, Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly, the most extreme couple in the world, are engaged. And Fox is very extra commitment ring has a deeply personal meaning.

On Wednesday, MGK shared a photo of FoxInstagram’s engagement ring and revealed the story behind it. “I know tradition is one ring, but I designed it with Stephen Webster to be two: the emerald (his birthstone) and the diamond (my birthstone) set on two magnetic bands of ‘thorns that come together like two halves of the same soul forming the dark heart that is our love,’ he wrote in the caption.

Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly announced their engagement on Wednesday, January 12, with a video of the proposal.

“In July 2020, we sat under this banyan tree”, Fox wrote in his IG caption. “We asked for magic. We were oblivious to the pain we would face together in such a short and frenetic time. Unaware of the work and the sacrifices that the relationship would require of us but drunk with love. And karma. Somewhere a year and a half later, having been through hell together and laughing more than I ever imagined possible, he asked me to marry him. And like in all lifetimes before this, and like in all lifetimes after, I said yes…and then we drank each other’s blood.

“The first time I looked him in the eye I was like, ‘I know you. I’ve known you so many times, in so many different forms, in so many different lifetimes,'” Fox said. The Washington Post about MGK, adding that she “didn’t expect it to be like, ‘God, you’re my soulmate,’ instantly.”

It seems that is exactly what happened.
